Mission: Define your Task
Your first task upon arriving at the museum is to interview the night watchman who heard the alarm. You begin your questioning in his office.
Interview Notes
You: "So when did you first hear the alarm?"
Guard: "The alarm went off this morning around 1 am. When I looked at the monitors they showed that two exhibits had been disturbed, so I went down to see what was going on."
You: "Which exhibits were these?"
Guard: "They were 'War of the Spies" and 'Behind Enemy Lines.'"
You: "What did the exhibits look like when you went down to investigate."
Guard: "That's the weird thing, when I went down there it barely looked touched. There was nothing broken or even really messed up. So, I went to the front door to see if someone had broken in, but nothing was disturbed there either. Whoever got in must have had a key."
You: "Couldn't someone have broken in by picking the lock?"
Guard: "Not our locks. Some of the items we have in the museum are really very valuable, so the locks on our doors are state of the art. There is no way that someone could break in by picking them."
You: "But why would the alarm go off if someone used a key?"
Guard: "Well, the alarm system was armed, so unless it is disabled it will go off even if the door is unlocked with a key."
You: "So whoever broke in didn't disable the alarm?"
Guard: "Apparently not."
You: "Did you notice anything missing?"
Guard: "Well, no, but I'm new here. I actually just started two nights ago. I haven't gotten an inventory of all of the items that the museum holds, so I couldn't tell what was missing. None of the displays looked disturbed, so I wasn't able to determine what might be missing."
You: "So you don't have a list of the displays in the exhibits? Is there anyway that I can see what should be in the rooms?"
Guard: "Well, a while back someone took photos of some of the exhibits and put them together as a virtual museum tour. If they took photos of the rooms that were broken into, you might be able to go through those rooms online to see what should be in there. I'll give you a list of the displays that I did see. If you see any displays in the virtual tour that aren't on my list, then those must be the things that were stolen. Good luck!"

To find what is missing from the museum, visit:
Look through the exhibits that the guard said had been disturbed. Then, using the list that the guard gave you (on the right), see if you find any items on the virtual tour that are not on this list. This will be the item that has been stolen! Use your detective notebook to keep track of what you are finding and if there are any missing items.
