Mission: Organize and Examine Clues
Now that you have examined the museum, looked through photos, and talked to the suspects, the head of the museum would like to meet with you to discuss your next step.
Interview Notes
Head of Museum: "So you have looked at our museum and staff, have you determined who the thief is, yet?"
You: "Not yet, I need to take some time to look over all of the information and synthesize the clues into something meaningful."
Head of Museum: "Synthesize?"
You: "Yes, that means take all of the clues and information and try to form some sort of opinion based on them. In this case, I'll need to reread my interview notes to see if I can put together a motive that makes sense along with the evidence I've found. Once I have thrown out the information that doesn't matter or the clues that can be explained away, I'll have left the evidence that points to the true thief and the reason that they robbed the museum."
Head of Museum: "Sounds like a lot of work, are you sure you're up to the task?"
You: "Absolutely. My first plan of action is to organize all of the information on each suspect. What clues point toward them, and what clues do not. And from there come to a conclusion."
Head of Museum: "Well, good luck, Gumshoe. Remember, we're all counting on you."
